Hello...My name is Kandalyn...
For the first newsletter--I thought I should introduce myself, and share a little about who I am, why I do what I do, and what my mission is. I would love to send emails once a week (if I can--let's be honest, there will be weeks that I can't squeeze it in, or I am out of juicy things to share! :P). Sometimes they will be about things going on in my life--and other times they will be testimonials from women just like you who have had their pictures taken.
I always speak on what is going on in my life--because that is all I can think of--so here it goes! Recently, 3 girls have decided to try and badmouth me and my husband, say what we stand for, and say who we are. Something we always say to our kids is: No one can tell you who you are besides Christ and YOU. YOU decide who you are. YOU determine your path for life. YOU make your choices. YOU are the one who knows (or should know) your value and your worth. No one else has the right to tell you these things.
With that in mind--no one gets to tell you what size, shape, color, or age is sexy and beautiful or WHO you are. God made every human unique. Not everyone is attracted to the same personality or outward looks--THANK GOODNESS. So beauty doesn't come only in a box. The most wonderful, beautiful, and sexy people are the ones who are outside the box....who dare to be different...who dare to be themselves. I like to describe myself as a creative--thus the reason that I am always a hot mess.
My brain has too many tabs open at all times, and my crazy flag flies high--but I am finally gaining the confidence to be who I was created to be, and I beg you to join me on this journey. I would love to help you fall in love with yourself--all of it--even the scars that run deep. I pray that as I share bits and pieces of my story that you will learn to love your weird quirks as well.
So here is the deal--to all of the mean girls in the world trying to bully people while sitting safely in their houses hidden behind their computer--get a life. If you have nothing better to do than seek out someone to try and hurt them--you have more issues than me, and honestly, my heart aches for you. I'm sorry that someone hurt you and you decided to lash out at others.
Let's all learn to love each other's different views, personalities, and looks so that we can create a more beautiful world for our children.
I became a photographer because I wanted to capture the most important moments of people's lives---but since I've always been a huge advocate for women, helping them gain confidence in themselves and learn to love themselves. I always say that the world gives us a skewed view on beauty, and it is my job to show every.single.woman their worth, value and beauty. Sooooo...if we don't know each other yet--comment below and introduce yourself <3
